Linux Services

Patching & Updating

This service is about the Operating System patching and updating.

Scope:

  • Planning of periodic system patches roll out plus deployment within the available time frames.
  • Critical security patches and emergency deployment to quickly fix or prevent technical issues.
  • Installation and deployment of Operating System versions, either “major” versions (e.g. Ubuntu 14.04 LTS to Ubuntu 16.04 LTS) or “minor” versions (patches of a single OS version, e.g. Ubuntu 16.04 LTS).
  • Deployment and testing of new versions or patches in pre-production before getting into production.
  • Definition and execution of “pull-back” procedures to recover the previous environment when needed.

Security & Compliance Service

This service is related to vulnerability scanning, audit compliance, and management & installation of critical security updates.

Scope:

  • Periodic scanning of vulnerabilities caused by outdated or wrongly configured services.
  • Keep the customer team updated on critical security updates, recommendations and action plan for immediate deployment.
  • Server hardening setup in compliance with the security standards required by the customer.
  • Support to help the customer to be compliant with audits requirements. Action plan to fix non compliant audit findings.

“Automated Management” Service

Deployment, operation and support of Linux configuration management products.

Scope:

  • Installation and setup of configuration management products (Puppet type, Ansible…) and application ”stages” scoping.
  • Configuration of basic operating system services (ssh, postfix, etc.).
  • Help and/or creation of own modules, recipes or “playbooks” in case the customer wishes to control a different software from the OS.
  • Connection of the existing infrastructure with the configuration management server, configuration consistency maintenance among the different servers.
  • Support on the configuration management product itself, troubleshooting, ticketing followup with the corresponding vendor if necessary.

“Bullseye” Service

Support service for operating system troubles, service configuration and ticket management with the corresponding vendor.

Scope:

  • Deep analysis, processing and resolution of incidents, including those that, due to their complexity, require a high level of knowledge of the operating system.
  • Questions resolution, support on the configuration of operating system most common services (ssh, postfix, etc.).
  • We directly manage incidents that require the involvement of one or more vendors (OS, application, hardware). The objective is to avoid a situation in which the different vendors “ping-poing” them about the cause of the problem.
  • Replication of incidents to guarantee their resolution by level 3 of the vendor, if necessary.

“All-in-one” Service

Comprehensive support and consulting service at the operating system level.

Scope:

  • Includes all the services detailed above.
  • Entire management of the Operating System.
